ISRC and UPC codes
What the codes are and what happens to them when you move to HILLS.
Updated
- ISRC identifies a recording. One per track version — a remix gets its own ISRC.
- UPC (or EAN) identifies a release — the single, EP or album.
Moving your catalog
When you migrate from another distributor, keep your existing ISRCs and UPCs. Stores use them to match the new delivery to the existing release, so play counts, playlists and history stay attached.
New releases
If a new release doesn’t have codes yet, tell your partner manager and we’ll arrange them as part of the release.
