Connect an AI assistant (MCP)
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to your HILLS Music account through the MCP server, read-only, to ask about your catalog, streams and statements.
Updated
The HILLS Music MCP server lets AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, read your workspace. You can then ask them about your catalog, a release’s status, streams and revenue, statements and requests, in plain language.
The connection is read-only. It can’t change releases, splits or payouts, and it sees only what your account can see in HILLS.
Who can connect
- Partners and their team members (with the MCP permission in their role).
- Artists and labels with their own HILLS account, once we’ve switched it on for them. Ask from Live support.
- Artists and labels under a partner can’t connect: MCP is the partner’s.
Connect
The server address is https://mcp.hillsmusic.com.
- In your assistant, add it as a remote MCP server or custom connector:
- Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, then Connect.
- Claude Code: run
claude mcp add --transport http hills https://mcp.hillsmusic.com, then/mcpto sign in. - ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Create (developer mode), paste the URL, authentication OAuth.
- Cursor: Settings → MCP → Add server with the URL, then Connect.
- The assistant opens a HILLS page. Sign in as usual.
- Check what it asks for and choose to connect it.
The assistant never gets your password.
See and disconnect apps
Your connected apps are listed under Connected apps: on the Developers page for partners, and in Settings for other accounts. Each shows when it was connected and last used. Choose Disconnect to end a connection at any time.
What to ask
- “Which of my releases are still in review?”
- “How did my last single do last month, by store?”
- “Show my latest statement.”
Streams and revenue come from monthly statements, so assistants answer by month, not by day.
More detail
The tools, sign-in and limits are documented on the developer site: MCP server. For integrations with your own systems, see the API documentation; the API is available on the Enterprise and Custom plans.

- No. The connection is read-only. It can't change releases, splits or payouts, and it sees only what your account can see in HILLS.
- Is this the same as the API?
- No. The MCP server is for AI assistants and signs in with your account. The API uses API keys and is available on the Enterprise and Custom plans.
