Follow your releases on HILLS Music: Daily trends for streams by store each day, and Analytics for monthly revenue by release, store and country.
Updated
HILLS Music gives you two ways to see how your music is doing, and they answer different questions:
| Daily trends | Analytics | |
|---|---|---|
| Question | How is this release doing right now? | What did we earn, and where? |
| Source | The stores’ daily figures | Your processed monthly statements |
| Detail | By day, by store (DSP) | By month, release, track, store and country |
| How fresh | About a day behind | One to three months behind |
| Money | No | Yes |
Daily trends
Daily trends shows what the stores report day by day for your recordings. Use it to follow a release in its first days and weeks, long before the money for those streams arrives.
Choose a period (the last 30 days by default) and compare it with the one before. Pick All DSPs or one store. The board has three views:
- Streaming — streams gained in the period, daily gains, the top stores, and top lists.
- Audience — totals per store and over time.
- Playlists — editorial placements, from a weekly scan.
The top lists rank your tracks and releases by what they gained in the period against the period before. Partners also get top artists and top labels across their roster. Open a list with View all, and search by title, artist, ISRC or UPC.
The figures arrive a day late, so the period ends on the last day with numbers. A release only shows once it’s out in the stores.
Analytics
Partners have Analytics: streams and revenue across their catalog and their artists’ and labels’. Direct artists and labels see the same numbers for their own releases on the Dashboard and under Royalties → Overview.
- Choose a range of months, and what to compare it with.
- Read the strip at the top: totals and the change against the previous equal period.
- Under Break down by, choose Release, Track, Store, Country, Month or Artist / label.
- Choose Export CSV for the table.
Analytics is built from committed statements only. There are no daily or weekly revenue figures, because stores report money by month.
On your first release, numbers usually appear 6 to 8 weeks after release day. Until then the Dashboard says No numbers yet.
If you’re under a partner
You see your share of revenue, by the split your partner set for you, and Daily trends for your own recordings. The Dashboard says You see your share of revenue.
Other overviews
Partners also find overview boards for each area of their workspace: releases (statuses, review speed and rejections), users, requests, smartlinks, imports and payouts. Each sits as an Overview tab in its menu.
Your quality score
Your Dashboard also shows Your quality score: how often your releases pass review first time. See Your quality score.
Ask an AI assistant
If you’ve connected an AI assistant, it can read your streams and revenue too. See Connect an AI assistant (MCP).
Common questions
- Why don't Daily trends and my statement match?
- They measure different things at different times. Daily trends shows daily stream counts from the stores; statements show what each store reported and paid for, one to three months later.
- Why is yesterday missing from Daily trends?
- The figures arrive a day late, so the period ends on the last day with numbers.
- Can artists under a partner see these?
- They see Daily trends for their own recordings and their share of revenue. Analytics with revenue across a whole catalog is for partners.
