Live chat and notifications

Chat with the HILLS Music team from Live support, follow notifications in the bell, and choose which ones also reach your email.

Updated

There are two ways HILLS Music keeps in touch with you inside the workspace: Live support, a chat with our team, and notifications, which tell you when something happens to your releases, money or requests.

Live support

Live support in the sidebar opens your conversation with the HILLS Music team. A chat bubble at the bottom right of every page opens it too, with a badge when we’ve replied. The green dot means agents are online.

Use it for anything about your account: a release, a statement, a payout, a request or a question about the workspace.

  1. Open Live support.
  2. Write your message. Add attachments, such as a screenshot or a contract, if they help.
  3. Send it. Our reply appears in the same conversation, and you get a Support replies notification.

Every message stays in one conversation, so the whole history is there next time. Your team members share the same support access.

Tips for a fast answer

  • Name the release with its title and UPC, or the track with its ISRC.
  • For money questions, give the statement month.
  • Describe what you expected and what you see. A screenshot often says it best.

If you’re under a partner

Artists and labels under a partner don’t have the HILLS live chat. Get help shows your partner’s support contact instead: their email, phone or help page. See What artists and labels under a partner see.

Partners set what their artists see under Settings → Artists (Support contact for your artists).

Notifications

The bell at the top of the workspace shows new notifications. Notifications in your account menu lists everything sent to you: filter by Unread, select several to mark read or unread, or choose Mark all read.

You’re told when, for example:

Group Notifications
Releases Release approved, Release rejected (changes requested), Release live, Needs your fix
Money Earnings ready, Payouts, Payout details
Requests Requests (takedowns, Meta Artist Tag)
YouTube Official Artist Channel, Content ID conflicts
Support Support replies

Partners also get Statements to review (white-label), DDEX delivery access and Webhook switched off, and team members see only the notifications their role covers.

Choose what reaches your email

  1. Open Notifications and choose Notification settings (or Settings → Notifications).
  2. For each notification, choose whether it also goes to your Email. The bell always shows it.

Push notifications on your phone will come with the HILLS Music mobile apps for iOS and Android, which are coming soon.

Announcements

From time to time we post announcements in the workspace, for example about new features or a store change. They appear in the workspace for everyone they concern.

Common questions

Who can use Live support?
Partners and their team members, and artists and labels signed directly by HILLS Music. Artists and labels under a partner get help from their partner instead.
Can I turn off notifications in the app?
The bell always shows them. You choose whether each kind also reaches your email.
